Want me to flip it i can rip it any style you want.
Got a letter in the mail today,
read everyword so many times,
and couldn't believe a single one,
your last name is changing,
i'm out of time,
i let the paper slip out of my hands,
pace back in forth in my living room,
out of the door into the streets,
i need time to think,
the streetlights just coming on,
and the rain at a slight drizzle,
i cant believe its happening,
i finally waited to long,
all i can do now,
is sit in the church and put on a smile,
i have no one to blame but myself,
had so many chances to act,
but couldn't find the words,
so i'll go on living,
thinking of what could've been,
for so long i've felt so much more,
but only showed i was a friend.

Such a few words to describe such a poignant scene, with all its confusion and regrets. It got to me.

This is from the heart. We all drive ourselves crazy thinking of what could have been. I once was in love with a girl. We were together almost five years. When it ended I thought I would die. But, a year later I met and fell in love with the woman I've been in love with for 36 years. Somehow these things all work out. I hope they have for you. Rain..
