Purple Trees
The snow covered hill is brown in frozen solitudewell shadows of clouds pass over it
warnings of night approaching
The skeletal trees blur purple
in the evening light
how I wish I was among the purple trees
well dusk sets in and casts its icy shadows
the mundane picture spread at distance hides
the whispered beauty that closer look reveals
when everything begins to set for moons embrace
lost from here among the purple trees
I long to be
until the brightening dawn awakes the rest
and sends me home
