love conquers all

You hold on to something

To watch it slip through your hands

Try to make it work

Just to watch it fail

The hatred that burns within

Is the pain of knowing

They never really cared

3 little words

The devastating reality of it all

I love you as a friend

I love you as a girlfriend/boyfriend

I love you as a husband/wife

So many different meanings

But one thing remains the same

When they don't love you at all

You'll cry

You'll die a little inside

Scream because it eases the pain

You'll crawl inside a hole to rid yourself

From the torment life lays at your door

You took every ounce of hope I had left

Ripped it out with the coldness of your words

I'll never understand

You had all the love in the world

Handed to you

Yet you walked away from it all

AND

You can't tell me why

You write what I EXACTLY felt when my marriage was over. I felt every word of this poem then. But time heals...or does it? Another good one you wrote.

Writing your poems are the best thing for you. They ooze with such feeling and emotion, and as Dee wrote, they are very well written. Keep writing.

I understand this so very well, and I know that many others will too. This is so very true and well written. Sometimes we never know why, we just have to move forwards, having faith.
