Lost
I stand here lost and confused
Falling apart
With everything to lose
The pain turns to anger
The fire begins to burn within
I close my eyes
Count to 10
Praying I don't lose it
That moment that you finally snap
Just let go of everything
You feel the rush of emotions
The heartaches
The lies
The infidelities
The betrayals
For a brief moment you find the humor in it all
Where did I go so wrong
What devious path did I take
To land in your arms
What debt did I owe
What lesson was I to be shown
I'm grasping for answers
Left with emptiness inside
As you carry on with your life
I pick up the pieces of mine
I slowly open my eyes
I expect hell to follow in its path
A pain rushes over me
The tears begin to fall
I begin to realize anger doesn't appease a broken heart
