Daddy's Little Girl

If I could change the world

I would

Put you in my life and never again

Feel what I felt that day

A long story finally put to an end

I thought for sure I would get to see you

God had different plans

I’m not mad nor sad

I feel empty

With no emotions to be said

I feel cold

Because I can’t find the tears to shed

How do you cry for someone who was never there

Not by choice

But the decision was clear

You said you loved me

I believe you cared

It kept me going when everything else failed

You kept me strong when life got hard

I pulled through just so one day I could show you

Make you proud of what I have done

Finally you would see me

That day will never come

I know you’re watching over me

I hope you’re proud of what I have become

I've made my fair share of mistakes

For that I hold no grudge

Rest in peace knowing

I loved you just as much as you loved me

Tender and touching. I think he looks down and smiles because of what his little girl has become or is on her way to becoming.
