Talking to the sky...

I’m talking to the sky
I’m not really even sure why
Or even if it’s listening to me
It always fades to black
And never says my name
Soon I’ll wake up and things will be different

I’m not sure when
I don’t want to know how
I’m not asking to be held
Just to be understood
I’m deserving of explanation
Just like the universe around me

My honesty seems only to be overlooked
After all my trial and error
I find myself in communication with the dark
I try so hard to avoid

Permanence is a decision I make
Ever so desperately, consistently
Trying so hard to be honest, sincere
Shielding Karma around me
Conversations with the sky
Silent, serene, and accepting
Yet yearning…

I am glad I stopped by to read your poetry, not just this one poem. "My honesty seems only to be overlooked..." Your honesty sings across the pages in vivid colors.

I would rather talk to the sky than to the wall! lol I like the introspection and the dialogue you have here with yourself. I can feel it's truth and honesty. And it's beauty.
