Frozen Goodbye
I saw him lying there
In the middle of a desert
Cold but not yet frozen
I kissed him
To try and warm him up

But he just looked away
Buried his head
Amongst the frozen words
And promises
He left for me to find...

I saw him there
I tried to hold his hand
He abandoned me
With tears in my eyes
And ice in his heart

I searched for him
Amongst the sand dunes of time
I haven't found him yet
Perhaps I never will
Once in a while I swear I see his shadow...

Disappearance into the night
I continually chase it
Never quite close enough to touch.
I still find his face print in the desert
Where he buried his head
And said,

"I don't love you anymore."

I got cold just reading this. I like how you use the cold in the desert. It's sad that a feeling as love which can be so beautiful, can cause a heart to be icy.
