Crazy World
Thinking of you
And how I could hold you right now if given the chance
Or touch you
Know that you exist in the same world as my own
Not a million miles away
In some deathly ugly universal-less solar system.

Crazy.
It's crazy what we live in
What we put up with
Being together
Being apart
Being alone
Not knowing where the other has been
Or will be in the future.

Thinking of you
How I could just lean into your body
To feel stability
For an uninsured moment
And request it again and again
Or I could be a rock on my own
Just waiting and waiting,
To be turned over.

It's crazy what we live in
It's crazy what we learn from
It's crazy what we need
In this world.

i really enjoyed this. i like how the "crazy" parts started midway and at the end. the introductory stanzas helped me ease into the theme of the poem. And when the "crazy what we live in" parts surfaced it gave it a startling effect that took the reader on the emotional roller coaster ride. Wonderful writing. Thanks for sharing.
