Diary of Sinner
As many of you know I am working on creating a Catholic Radio show aimed
at people my age. I knew that if I ever got this show off the ground
that I would probably catch some flack here and there, but I didn't
expect it so soon. Especially not from people I care about; people I
consider to be friends.
The point of the “show” would be to
create an interactive environment where young Catholics, Christians, and
anyone else could discuss what they believe. It's supposed to be about
healthy dialogue. I have gotten a lot of great responses from my
survey but recently, a few have alarmed me.
I know that when
you mess with religion, people tend to be very watchful of your every
move. It's easy to discredit someone when they speak one way, and act
another. I however don't do that. I'm not EVER going to sit on my
throne and oversee the battle between dark and light. I am no higher
than anyone else. I am a sinner. I am part of the pack. I'm not going
to try and act like a General. I know I am just a lowly soldier. Just
like everyone else.
I sin. I sin a lot. I have a history of
making bad decisions, but don't we all? Believe me, this show is
supposed to support that. We are supposed to help each other out. Like
an AA meeting.
I never once said I was a good or great person.
I never said I was sinless. So, for those of you who thought that,
listen closely.
I AM A SINNER! I MAKE MISTAKES! I TRY AND SOMETIMES I FAIL!
Now you know. So if you want to keep smearing my name go for it. All
you will do is prove my point, which is no matter how hard you try,
there will always be people waiting to bring you down.
Good Luck.

You can't live a good life alone. It's like painting with one color. You won't find the true beauty of the picture unless you use other colors too. Sure, sometimes the colors will bleed together and your palate will get messy, but in the end it'll be worth it.
