Tell me

Tell me something I have not yet heard

let me drift amongst the words

seeking to mend a heart torn apart

not by anything you did

not by anything you knowingly hid

simply too fragile to stand the pain

simply too brittle to face the reality

that laced itself amongst us in the shadows

only to unravel swiftly in the sun

Some really nice lines, but at the end of the day I'm not left with any idea of what the reality was which caused the pain. In my opinion the poem would be stronger if there was something concrete included which could act as a bedrock on which the rest of the poem could be anchored.
