A Silent Miracle

silent snowflakes

dancing between the stars

softly blanketing the yard

a rabbit has left tracks

across the once green expanse

now white, with flower’s envy

now white, reflecting the moon’s blush

standing by the window

my mind

warmed by the fire’s glow

warmed by the thoughts of friends

heightened all the more,

by the silent miracle of newly fallen snow

I absolutely love this! It's really, really neat, and you certainly describe it in a poetic way. Good job!!

lovely poem. so soft and touched my heart. one point of my confusion is the "flower's envy" is it the envy of the snow, or the land...or the rabbits tracks in the snow. i get the feel of the poem, but that one line in its placement, made me unsure of the authors intent. it is a powerful line...i just wanna make sure i'm reading it right.
