Sittin' In the Bathroom Blues
Sittin' in the bathroom
just takin' my time,
sittin' here relaxin',
got nothin' on my mind.

Yeah, I'm sittin' in the bathroom
not worryin' 'bout a thing,
just lettin' my mind go---
then the telephone rings!

In the years past
I had to let it ring on.
Won't happen no more
'cos I got this cordless phone.

'Cos I'm sittin' in the bathroom
not worryin' 'bout a thing,
just lettin' my mind wander---
then the telephone rings!

Missed my Friday night calls,
Monday mornin's, too,
but since I got this cordless
I can even call you.

And you'll be sittin' in the bathroom
not worryin' 'bout a thing,
readin' Reader's Digest
then the telephone will ring.

So if you want to keep on line
'n let folks knw you're home,
don't be missin' any more calls
then get a cordless phone.

And we can sit right in our bathrooms,
ain't worryin' 'bout any thing,
got our cordless phones near---
then the doorbell rings!

Synopsis
We've all been there, waiting on an important call, either personal or business, and then mother nature calls. There's nothing for it but to answer, and just as we get all situated, the phone rings...wonderful invention, the cordless phone (now cell phone), but just when we thought we had the problem solved, someone invariably comes to our front door.
