Springtime In September

  Springtime in September....
Impossible you say?
That spring is a time for growing....
In the fall things fade away.

That spring is a time to greet new life
As it blossoms all around,
While September starts the leaves to turn
And fall upon the ground

But fifty years ago today
A miracle took place....
A September day was bright and gay
As the smile upon your face.

The sun did shine; the birds did sing,
As on many springtime days;
The air was filled with rich perfume
From the flowers in pretty bouquets.

For, as in spring, this day was meant
For the starting of new life,
And we started ours together, dear,
That September day you became my wife.

Very Good! So sweet and thoughtful and sentimental. The heart of a true man you showed us here.
