Putting War To An End
War, A battlefront with its stripes and its stars
A soldier lost at sea, who wonders were they are
Family at home, Cry tears for their friends
Because without these brave soldiers, Would war ever end.

A shot from a gun, heard across fields of stone crosses
A young girl at home, cries, her father has lost it
Shell shocked, From copper bullets, that zoom by his head
Who looks down at his conrad, who realizes hes dead.

The sea has swollowed, So many brave men
Who just wished that they, Could see their familys again
Sacrificing life, to save so many people
It takes one soldiers life to start war, the root of all evil.

A soldier sits, on a wall made of stone
Wishing he had, the chance to call home
Then out of nowere, All of a sudden
He hears the gun shots, then he starts running.

Risking their lives, for the ones that they love
Just so their children, have the chance to grow up
And the one thing we know, is that we have respect
For the ones who fight war, trying to put war to an end.

Thank you so much, I also believe that War is pointless, cant we find another way around things, most wars are started over pointless things, and thousands of innocent people have to die, and most of those people half of the time dont even know the reason their fighting, I know that war may be the quick fix solution to all of our country's problems, but it is also the unecessary way to solve our problems. If we all solved them this way, tell me, Would we not all be at war?

"War doesn't determine who is right, but who is left". As much as I don't like war, sometimes it is necessary. The American Civil War and WW2 proves this point. I like your insights here for it shows that you care for humanity.

Thanks alot, As I have told so many people, I may not of experinced war, but I know enough about it to put myself in peoples shoes and make other people see the hurt and the disgraceful part of war, I am by no means a soldier, I tried to join the Canadian Armed Forces, As soon as I turned 18, I wasnt aloud, Because I have diabetes, Compleely understandable, So if I cant experience it that way, I will write about it, hope it gets the right message out there =)

War is hurtful to so many--on both an individual level and societal. We never stop paying the price. You show a good understanding of that truth.
