Shadows and Not is my depiction of life; love and everything in between. This poignant poetry anthology has been put together over the last ten years. It is an honest look at the various paths I took in my pursuit to happiness. Citing the real life lessons and struggles I have gone through getting there. I have given the reader the path to follow, walking in my shoes.

Synopsis
My prescription Words are like venom. Seeping into your veins. Dancing around in your mind. Some are obvious like a bright blue sky. Or as pure and as clear as love. Your heart pounds… you wait patiently anxious. Once you have it in your grasp you never want to let it go. - Like a drug. Some sneak up on you like a predator then go in for the kill. Leaving you victimized and wounded. You try to run away from your own realizations as quickly as you can. But the more you read, the more it slams you in the face. -Words carefully placed to last lifetimes. Echoing in the hallways of educational institutions. And some fade away and line the garbage cans with yesterdays newspapers. Taking and placing yourself in between the words. Walking along in the shoes of the writer. Hearing the ticking away from the keyboard. Or the crumpling of the paper from a limerick gone wrong. The frustration mounting up, the ecstasy when success is found. - But the battle isn’t quite won.
A Word from the Writer
This is the opening poem to Shadows and Not. It's meant to be the my description of how words stay with us or leave our minds as quickly as they entered. www.shadowsandnot.com
