The Parrot

  Inspiration and imitation,
Like the court without a clown.
You ask the strange and foreign
To knight you with a crown.
Yet the crown has no meaning
If all it is is words.
For what kind of a King
Holds his hands out
Like the woman feeding the birds?

How would the birds know
That the man is a King,
A leader and inspiration
That make his people sing?

You cannot inspire
Without being an inspiration.
But who is he to ask for words
That could spell the fate of a nation?
No man could possibly be crowned a king
If he has not proven his merit.
So why then have you
Crowned yourself the Parrot,
(The bird of imitation)
And asked the strange and foreign
To knight you an inspiration?

Well told and versed. I like your wisdom here, especially the use of a parrot for imitation. Vwhitlock is right for every politician needs to read this!

Feel the fear, and do it anyway because even though it's not too late, one day, it will be.

Synopsis
Somebody on another site posted a contest where they asked people to write a poem about how they were an inspiration. This person asked strangers to write a poem that claimed this person was an inspiration to these people. What is that?
