Developed Love

A single touch
A single kiss
One single soul
She melts into it
She loses herself
She loses her breath

This one man has her
His kiss comforts her
His single touch swoons her over
Never she thought she'd feel

The passion
The feeling in her
She knows this isn't just a fling
It is more
'This is it,' she thinks

She lowers her eyes when she looks at him
He takes everything she has to give
Her innocence
Her heart

This single man has this woman
This woman is taken away
Emotions neither have felt
"I Love you," she wants to say
She holds back
unsure...

Before she even can admit it
Before she can get past her insecurity
He says the simple phrase
that means so much
"I love you."

The tears swell and she has no words
They look deeply into one another
The trust
The compassion
The two souls,
become one,

Love.

Wonderful. A great blend of shyness, fear, trust and love. I think that's the magic combo. Loved the format too!

your format is very nice ... it begins with the first stanzas as an interesting sort of fat pyramid that looks like pure adventure and then in the middle begins to change its shape as the feelings of love increase and he shows that he may feel it, too .... then finally the center justification and down to the last line. The title goes with shape and thematic developments very well. Nice work.

Powerful and breathtaking. A wonderful read and a wonderful showing of the shyness and yet the passion that lurks within us all.

Reminds me of my wife. She says things like that to me. Of course, I always return the favor!

I concur with everyone above. A beautiful poem for sure.

Synopsis
It is something I am not sure that I have felt. I have been through many relationships, and this undescribable feeling hasn't hit yet, but one day it will.
