Detox
You used to be my struggle
My secret drug of choice
Liquor to my flesh
Gunja to my soul
That thing that brought me to my knees
and I don't mean for prayer
Gave you access to my jewels
without the promissory note

You used to be my struggle
I cheated on God with you
Tainted my worship, made praying hard
Baptized me in your lust,
laced me in your web
Masquerading as affection
while leading me to Hell

You used to be my struggle
But then the venom wore off
No longer paralyzed under your spell
That feeling replace by another
Peace, Joy and Pride
Feeling lighter, breathing easy
cause I'm in HIS will
You're no longer a struggle for me
I celebrate my sobreity

I commend you on your freedom for I know it was a hard fight. Your courage is to be admired and to be copied. On a side note, read my poem "I Love My Freedom (The Master and The Slave). May that give you inspiration as well.
