My Best Friend

My Best Friend

My best friend lives so far away

I think about her everyday

I don’t keep in touch like I should

I wish she lived in my neighborhood

It’s bad when I don’t keep in touch

I’m always missing her so much

I love to go visit with her once a year

I wish she could move here to be near

I love her dearly; she’s like a sister to me

I couldn’t find a better friend you see

She’s always been there through thick and thin

We used to be inseparable almost like a twin

Living different lives so far from each other

She’s one of a kind and also a great mother

We both will cry when I have to leave

Sometimes for me two days I will grieve

I miss my friend oh so much

Sometimes I long for her as my crutch

I keep her in my every prayer

I sometimes wish I could be there

Dedicated to my best friend,

Janice Martin
