Music To Our Ears

Music To Our Ears

When the music is playing to a very low

Outside falling on the ground is lots of snow

We dance so slow across the floor

With the very one whom we adore

It’s all so simple to care for each other

But it’s different when in love with one another

You can’t get enough time to be alone

You etch your names upon the stone

It all seems to good to be true

When he’s away you are blue

You miss him when in bed alone

You miss him even talking on the phone

You both have different careers

But being together is music to our ears

You did well with a pleasant poem, but let me make a suggestion. It isn't a "limerick." A limerick, as far as I know, is limited to five lines and must have the rhyme scheme aabba. There are certain other considerations about number of syllables per line. With best wishes, Elton
