There is something in their eyes

Those days they might have been
Pain in the butt
But now they are no more.
Nevertheless they were
Gentlemen while they lasted.
They are still gentlemen
In our vivid memories minus
The pain in the butt.
We now prefer to forget
Their paininthebuttness
Now that they are no more
Their nomoreness has made it
Difficult to hold the past
Paininthebuttness against them.
Because when they lay stretched
In the white cloth under the sky
Their gaze told our future story.

writing nisheedhi
Poetry based upon actual experiences, not one thought up in the intellectual aridness of a pseudo-thinker. Words as they mean in the specific context of recollected thought or image , not meaning several things at a time but that which re-creates an aura or a haze of an earlier experience.
