Invincible Girl
Invincible Girl

You left me cold.
Made ice out of my soul.
Left me bitter inside.
Yes, the good in me died
When you said what I wanted to hear,
And then left me in tears...
But I still don't know why.
You never needed to lie.
So I've got my back to the world.
I'm invincible girl.
The hardened shell that you made.
I'm the bed that you've laid.
Now no one's allowed.
And this I do vow:
They'll never get in.
No, never again.
Don't give me your lines,
And pretend that we're fine.
You made a mess out of me
That never needed to be.
My body wasn't enough.
You wanted my love,
So you could throw it away.
Well, does that validate you?
I've got my back to the world.
I'm invincible girl.
The hardened shell that you've made.
I'm the bed that you've laid.
Now no one's allowed.
And this I do vow:
They'll never get in.
No, never again.
I am human no more.
Not the same as before.
Here's my lesson learned
From being burned....
Yes, I am invincible girl.
It's a gray-colored world.
I can no longer worry
About the lines you've kept blurry.
Because I'm invincible girl.
I'm invincible girl.
I'm invincible girl.
And this is my world.
