I'm stuck in an obsession, a sin of the mind. A dark passion trying to destroy my heart. It is a lust so tempting like a scrap of food, once you take a bite your hooked, like Adam and Eve. To dangerous is this emotion, this wrath that tears the soul, so dangerous is this snake that once your bitten your lost, and in the end it breaks your heart.

Lost is my mind as I thirst for some more, lost is my heart as the venom rushes through. My body, my mind, my heart, and my soul, are consumed in a hold so strong it can't be cut loose. The snake wraps itself around my body squeezing tighter and tighter until I can no longer breathe...

I wake up in a place I don't recognize. White walls, halls, voices but no faces. I see the figure in black waiting by a door, my legs begin to move, I try to stop but can't, my body won't listen. My mind screams “stop,” but I do the opposite, it screams again, “stop,” as I move towards my doom. I'm slipping fast, just a minute away, then a figure in white comes, and pulls me away.

I imagine myself in a wide open field, laying on soft grass, breathing in the cold air while the white snow falls down upon my still form. My body is ice cold but I feel very warm and vibrant is my smile, as I turn and close my eyes.

When my eyes open I lay in a bed. There is a soft beeping sound near the foot of the bed, voices outside, footsteps moving to and from the room. People gathering around, looking down, with looks so dear my mind screams, “cheer,” I'm alive, I'm here. One of them takes my hand. She holds it tight, a smile on her face, the look of love in her eyes. I smile inside then close my eyes, I'm here, I'm alive, my life is at peace, the phase is through.

I love how this story speaks without revealing too much. The story is filled with so much underlining meanings. I love how you opened the story and took me down a different path. Good job!
