The Pledge at Drebnor Wood part 7
As the fillimen went about the task
Of saving what they could
All around were eyes of hatred
From the nearby Drebnor wood

This was no time to seek vengeance
More important work at hand
Half their comrades beaten
The rest could barely stand

The fight had been ferocious
That was plain for all to see
It was the sight of reinforcements
That forced the foe to flee

As each man went about his task
To bring comfort where they could
There were muttered curses under breath
For this evil to make good

Still far from here on the coast of Yann
Was the focus of their hate
Who had no way of knowing
What they planned to make his fate

The tyrant ruler Farrant
Had much to answer for
He had caused the clans divide
Then this bloodied, harried war

It was rumoured that his empire
Stretch far from sea to sea
Now the captors that he’d taken
Grantor pledged to soon set free

For now the quest was halted
As he tended to his men
Though soon they would resume the hunt
To route the evil, in its den
