Killer
He turned the corner cautiously
To see the car in place
Some random joggers came in view
So he quickly hid his face

The key they gave was working
So he took the drivers seat
He knew that this was just the start
Of his mission to complete

On entering the freeway
He set the cruise control
Not needing now attention
From some random police patrol

He settled to the driving
Each move in perfect sync
It blocked out what he had to do
It helped him not to think

In time he saw the junction
That was marked out on his map
He pulled ahead through traffic
Till he found a waiting gap

The light was now quite faded
As he neared his quarries lair
Opposing cars were giving off
An annoying headlight glare

He pulled into a lay-by
On the map marked as a sketch
Then left the car and paused a while
His muscles so to stretch

The timing was still perfect
As he took the forest trail
The canopy above him
Then to form a needed veil

Ahead he saw the clearing
With the villas glowing lights
He set up his equipment
Then to view it through his sites

The building seemed quite busy
Though just one man on his list
Who had no way of knowing
Of this deadly final tryst

He had no need to hurry
As he scanned each room each face
He was careful in the planning
There would be no thing to trace

At last his laser sighting
Was locked upon its prey
A gentle squeeze of trigger
Marked an end to his work day
