a feel of fall
a feel of Fall was in the air
this morning as I climbed my stair

a cool wind blew in from the north
reminding us of natures wrath

the trees are shedding their cloth of green
to wear a mantle, in Fall time only seen

brilliant hues of reds and yellows
marking time as the forests mellow

as is usual at these times
canada geese will leave these climes

all migratory birds will follow suit
flock upon flock in hot pursuit

all creatures, from squirrels to the tiny shrew
quickly hoarding food to see them through

farmers reap their crops and cut their hay
there'll be food for all, for every day

pack away all your summer gear
an Autumn crispness is in the air

I like this very much--you got all the Fall happenings. I just re-posted my Fall poem (Autumn's Time)--I am so ready for it--so hot here!

A few simple sentances and you have put it all in , down to the smallest shrew. Well done
