You were too good for this world,

A diamond in a sea of pain.

Struggling to find yourself as you fought the demons within.

Even when life got tough,

Even as each wave tried to swallow you whole,

You stood tall,

You refused to go.

I guess that’s why it surprised us all when you did indeed fall,

You had such a good heart,

You did your best to overcome it all.

You made mistakes that you tried to rise above,

But in the end it was just too late.

You got the best reward,

Inspite the devil staring you in the face.

You’re up in heaven,

In your rightful place.

You’ll never feel heartache,

You will no longer suffer from the past mistakes.

Even though we are hurting from you passing on,

Knowing you are up in heaven will help us carry on.
