Palindrome Poem

The answer to my riddle is easy to achieve

No need to ask your mom, dad, or a friend named Eve

Hannah would probably guess for she knows her name’s fame

But you don’t need radar to find the answer to my game

I’m stressed and I need a pill so guess what I need

The first and last letters are always the same as in "deed"

For me it’s a reviver, although it’s supposed to relax

Calms my nerves allowing brain cells to function at the max

A minim of thought is all that’s required of you

Don’t refer to a drug handbook in hopes of discovering a clue

You’d do better to use those pages to repaper an ugly wall

Use a level to keep the rows straight and a ladder not to fall

Both sexes have equal chance to answer my plea

And if you already know it I’m sure you’re redder with glee

I’ve found my stash of meds, so this game I’ll abort

And look forward to next time when boredom leads me to word sport
