My Heart Done Been Broke
Chile, my heart done been broke
Too many times to count

Nah, it ain't different
You feelin' like you caught cold
    But ain't sneezed, just shivered
    It's like a fever though
No doubt a'tall

You learn to sleep again
    Alone
It's hard, but you keep breathin'
Pulling in wind, blowing it back out
    You won't think about it
That ticker won't stop either

Oh, it won't last--this pain
It'll come 'gain, too
    Coz you'll find another...
or he'll find you

Won't make you stronger
Won't leave you weaker
It's a gift--
some say

Yeah, my heart done been broke
and mended 'gain and 'gain and 'gain.

This piece brought me back to the old school poets who wrote the language of their days.. I love this piece flowed and how it seemed so be set in another time period..enjoy this and thanks for inspiration.

Synopsis
A tribute to an old woman I overheard talking on her cell phone in the grocery store. This was just the essence of what I imagined she might say to a younger woman coming to her for advice or comfort. Real communication is almost never grammatically correct, especially where I live, but truth and wisdom are not lost and I love the rhythm with which a lot of old people speak.
