I Don't Mind
I Don’t Mind

I don’t mind having some gray in my hair
I am just thankful that at my age it is still there
I don’t mind having to adhere to a slower pace
I find that I enjoy the scenery instead of the race
I don’t even mind putting on my glasses to read
I carry them to use whenever there is a need
I don’t mind getting a discount at a store
I might shop longer and buy even more
I don’t mind the little aches and pains when I drive
They just remind me that I am still here and alive
I don’t mind being called sir or mister anymore
That doesn't make me feel bad or sore
I don’t mind people opening a door for me
If we gave more respect a nicer world it would be
I don’t mind stopping to take a nap in the afternoon
I know if they need me they will wake me soon
I don’t mind the volume being turned up a bit
It's more enjoyable when you can clearly hear it
I don’t mind taking time to enjoy things more
I get the chance to see things I never saw before
I don’t mind getting older it's not something I dread
I'll do my best to enjoy it now before I am dead
