To Blow Up a Synagogue
Four black men got a notion.
They wanted to cause a lot of commotion.
They met in prison,
and later converted to Islam.
That golden, illustrious retreat, Islam.
A way of thinking that opens every murderous door.
Or, otherwise your holding cell
when you can't take it anymore.
Allowing Islam to justify your crime
is a worse sentence.
They were disatisfied, these four,
with events in Afghanistan.
Oh, pardon me.
They weren't in the military.
They were in prison.
They're out of sync and out of touch
with our war efforts.
Have an opinion, not a cause of action.
All the more scary to people taking their kids to school.
Actions helpful to the neighborhood are more fitting.
Who are they to destroy in one sitting.
Sure, let's sit idly by
while lunatics give it a try.
We all would like to disgust the nation
with our lunatic indignation.
As if that weren't enough,
these men had further plans
to shoot a missile at an army plane.
I find that too insane.
Oh, Allah, it's all in your great name!
What schooling went wrong for them?
What job program failed to support?
Why do we even have to reflect
on this thwarted disaster?
