Sun God

Be amazed.
He is up there.
Shining, singly.
I see what I want to see
       in my sun god.
There need not be a goddess.
I'm not fussy.
He is enough for my admiration.
I am not crazy
        because the inspiration is right.
My sun god is brilliant
for as long as I need him.
The sun is life, love, healing, and death.
Imbibing, quaffing his warmth,
        I can need no more.
It is always enough.
I would be wrong to ask for more.
I know what I need.
My sun god has told me.
The darkness turning to light
        is evidence
       of his greatness.
I'll put on my sunglasses.
I still have to navigate reality.
My praise and thoughts
         gravitate
      toward the sun.
He is all I meditate.
Being careful
not to expect the impossible.
I meditate.
The sun is there.
The sun god knows what I want.
I am happy about his presence.
I am joyful at the sunrise.
The pleasant associations
of his warmth
and his constant light
invigorate what I'm waiting for.
Be amazed.

I love the sun too. It along with the rain gives life. One without the other is the doom of humanity. Another well told poem.
