momma
momma
momma tree
you stand so tall
wise
you have no mystery
what you get is what
you see
branches
-arms
outstretched
I climb into them and cling
up so high in your embrace
life below us is not as vast as it seems
momma
momma tree
i ask you:
why do you stand so stagnant,
why not change your pleasant face
without words you answer:
life is easier when you're stuck in one place

I agree with Trench. In a family, it is mom who holds the "tree' together. It is mom who is the "trunk".
