Water Form
Under water
Look up into the yellow refraction
Opening promises release from where I am
Into the world of air above

Engulfing cyan
Rolling over all my senses
Takes all attention
I reach, dive toward the surface

My hands spread before my head
Slowly watch as forefingers, thumbs
Touch gently at the tips
Fingers splay in worship

Angles before me, holds me
I do not want to go up
Poised at the edge of the circle of light
Staring at the scene I've captured

Monument of brilliant stature
At arms' end, perfection with blue surround
Won't stop looking for there is a meaning
Out of my wordly reach

I can no longer stay immersed
Burst into the air, gasping
Plunge under to revisit again and again
The light is fading, sun goes down

Fluid moment passed
In longing, incomplete
Pregnant and full
I wish for a life apart, in water

I liked the imagery and the feeling they invoked. And me being a swimmer/diver, I can really relate to this poem. Thanks for your imagination for I felt it too.
