Small Amounts

A purpose, just one,
Aside from the domestic.
Long for the chance;
A mark to be made,

But I sometimes feel that my turn has come and gone.

If I am half the way through my life
And the itch still has a need for scratch…

Gather the small.
The pieces of little inspiration
Ways I’ve improved things around me;
Made a smile occur.

Gather the harvest
Feed of its nourishment
Know some good is done
In this life full of small amounts.

The bee shall visit the flowers in bloom
Alight and taste of the nectar
The tiny crumbs accumulate upon her legs
The next touch creates the growth awaited

More will be inspired by joy blossoming in a soul

There is much to be gained
By seeking one’s own desires …

Gather the small.
