A love letter to myself - (if I were you)

A love letter to myself - (if I were you)

I (you) am kind

The kind of kind

That is the result

Of constant churning

Smoothing my (your) edges

A smooth rock

Can skip

Or bruise

Depending

I (you) am quick

Quick to laugh

Quick to learn

Quick learned

Because slow is infinitely harder

Quick of my (your) nails

Bleeding

Quick candle

Burning

I (you) am strong

Forged

Battle tested

Fortified

Stronger for experience

A blade

A pen

The edge of my (your) tongue

Slice like branch edges

I (you) am whole

Light as feathers

Or heavy as rocks

Beautiful

Craters or crevices and all

Coloring in

Each hole

Each slash

My (your) peacock feathers

I (you) am selfless

Considering

Everyone but my (your) self

Sometimes

In peril

I (you)

Flawed

Fearless

Fighter

Synopsis
I've been obsessed with this idea for a few days about "writing a love letter" to yourself but flipping it to be about someone I care about.
