Walk With Me Awhile
  Walk With Me Awhile
Will you take my hand my love
And walk with me awhile
I cannot guarantee you forever
Nor say how many miles
Do not walk in front of me
But walk here by my side
For our love will then surround us
If we keep our faith as our guide
The path at times may be rocky
Though we may stumble, we will not fall
For each will support the other
Each will hear the others call
At times I have walked this path alone
Or shared it with others along the way
Some still walk this path with me
Though it changes every day
We are never sure whom we will meet
Along this twisting winding road
How many rivers we must cross
How heavy the burden of our load
For the load that we must carry
Is of things that we learn along the way
The experiences that are shown to us
Each and every day
So will you walk this path with me
Let love and friendship be our guide
For it was written in the book of fate
That we could share this time, side by side
So I now extend my hand to you
Hold it gently in your grasp
For what happens will now be written
It’s our future, born from our past.

Dee, I love reading your poems! Each one tells a story! Please think about compiling them into a book! I'm telling you, people will love reading it!

I will walk with you as long as you don't "Walk Like A Man" or "Walk Like An Egyptian"! Nice work here. A strong bond that was formed and still is formed in friendship and love.
