Help Me Find The Way
 
I sit here in quiet reflection
Upon words that were said
Advice that was given freely
Questions running through my head
 
Decisions needing to be made
Yet still I don’t know what to do
Do I listen to my heart
Not knowing where it will lead me to
 
Dare I take the risk
Of walking paths unknown
Never sure where it will take me
Or where I will make my home
 
Can I take the chance
To leave all I have behind
Looking to the future
Not knowing what I will find
 
Or should I leave things as they are
Knowing within my heart
That a part of me is missing
God help me, where do I start
 
Lord please help me to find the way
To where my heart has its home
For I know it’s not just a place
Where my spirit seeks to roam
 
For home is where the heart is
It belongs to one very special man
Who loves me for me, Lord
And does not try to change who I am
 
A part of me is missing
I know that it’s out there somewhere
Safe within another’s presence
Built on the love that we will share
 
But for now I can just listen
To all that is said
Looking to find the answers
To the questions inside my head.
