Goodbye My Love, Goodbye
The stars have not stop twinkling
Nor has the sun stopped shining
Each day still turns into night
The world continues to slowly turn on its axis
But somewhere, somehow, my world suddenly changed
Because you are not a part of it anymore

I try to hang on to the sound of your voice
But slowly that sound is quieting
I try to remember the feel of your arms
But that feeling is disappearing also
I try to hang on to the memories we created together
Knowing that soon photos will be all I have left of you

I think about my dreams that I shared with you
Dreams about me, about us, about the future
I think about the dreams that we created together
Knowing that now they will never come to fruition
Created within our hearts and disappearing in time
Dreams lost to the ever changing universe

It is not that you have died
But only that our relationship has ended
Suddenly what I thought was so special is over
Without a word, or a sign that I could see
You disappeared from my life so completely
As if what we shared, never was

Now I am left with only
The fading memory of your voice
The fading memory of your touch
The fading memory of our dreams
Whilst the love I felt for you
Will forever remain in my soul
As I whisper, ‘goodbye my love, goodbye’.

Dee you have a gift that touches both the heart and the soul to their core. Onevoice said it so true and I agree with him. For this man to have lost a love like this is his BIG loss!

Sweet love tasted and lost will forever echo within the halls of your soul... planted as a seed… it will only grow
