Commercial Treatment

Project Mission Statement
To create a 30-second commercial to promote the ASPCA by creating awareness, and increasing volunteers and donations.  Target audience is pet lovers, adults with means to make donations, and kids.

Creative Treatment
Animal cruelty.  Did you know you're allowed to report it? 
For the 30-second spot, we will use B-roll footage of mistreated animals being rescued, and before and after photos.  We will use soundbytes of a call reporting animal cruelty, and a call asking about volunteering.  We will also shoot one or two ASPCA volunteer talking about rescuing animals, need funds, and what number to call to get more information.  They will be filmed over a well-lit white background to emphasize the positive aspects of the message, that there is something that can be done.
The finished product will have the ASPCA logo, telephone number, and web address in a lower-third graphic at all times.  The objective of the spot is to convey a powerful message without jerking at people's heartstrings and making them feel depressed.  This will be a call-to-arms message- these IS something that can be done, and you can help.  The music will be upbeat and powerful, to call the viewers attention and empower them to help.
