She has many names. But what she isn't, is a building. She's a place in the Christian's heart. Members of any given "church" are the "church", not the building itself. The enemy has tried to run her aground many times over the centuries. They've even tried to tear down the lighthouse that guides her. Many are desirous of passage on that mighty gospel ship, but only those who go in Jesus' name will be granted boarding. The voyage isn't easy, and alas, many have been lost in the treacherous waters that rage outside that mighty vessel. For those who stay the course, the reward is great and at the end of the journey, lies a destination coveted by all, but received by few. The church, often misunderstood and more often misrepresented has had her name slurred and slandered since the very beginnings of the church. Those who make up the church have an obligation to her good name. She has had a blot on her name for a very long time and it is up to the true church to represent her as she truly is. She is life, she is love, she is everlasting joy. The true church is the path to God and to eternal life.
In His service,
Connie
