Unsung Songs By Dick Innes
  Unsung Songs

   How many songs never sung,
   poems never written,
   pictures never painted,
   stories never told,
   romantic words never spoken
locked inside a lonely heart --
the prison of another's making --
   are left unexpressed
   because somebody
   shamed us,
   abandoned us,
   or perhaps silenced us
   with a cruel word,
   a thoughtless deed,
   and said or just implied
   we were not good
   or not quite good enough?
   And, tragically,
   we believed them.

One of my friends has just recomended me to watch Dr. Myles Munroe's series "Explore the Pursuit of Purpose." He portrays the cememtary as the most wealthy place on the earth because many took their "potentials" to be who they are to their grave. We are easily discouraged most of the time, but God doesn't want us to take grave them with us, he wants us to die "empty." Thank you for sharing and giving us blessings.

Thanks so much scifiguy! I know it's been a while but I'm happy to hear from you. Yeah, this guy is right on point with this poem because this happens on a daily basis! We often give the kind of people written about in this poem, the power to crush our dreams and I thought that since this is often more times than not, the truth, this is a very appropriate poem to share. God Bless!

This is a poem I thought worth sharing because it is so very true. Dick Innes is the creator of "Daily Encounter" and a very wise man.
