An Empty Chest

An Empty Chest

By: WAN

How can you ever put a thought inside a chest?

If the door is open outside but locked inside…

I’d rather keep it myself than to share it with you.

In a million times, I tried to pull out your lid

But I can only receive from what I did

Is an empty smile and still a fake seed

What if I will do the same?

Can you ever be willing to take the risk?

To help me when I’m down and weak;

I tried to find ways to give you gems

But it’s still the worst thing it seems

You became so conceited and a dry stem…

Starring at you made me think of an object,

A big, close and empty chest…

You have a husk but nothing fits…
