The Bell
I took a walk out of Jamison square I was looking for some sign of life I could see my breath as it mixed with the air And the wind bit my skin like a knife
It's 3am all the drunks have gone home it's just me and the moon in the sky I still walk the streets, yes i walk them alone And they've given up asking me why
'Cuz I just told them I'd be fine I'd go to sleep when My vital signs Are no more
Are no more
The sun's coming up, and they say all is well But the well that they speak of is dry Then I heard a voice ringing clear as a bell And the bell shook the sleep from my eyes
His words showed the way and the truth and the life To take place of this lust, and these lies, and this knife And I could live free from the Demon's inside In the freedom that comes when you realize That you're loved
Now I'll tell them How I'm fine I'll go to sleep when Vital signs Are no more
