Winter
T rudging, groping ever onward
crunch for crunch footfalls mark my path
once familiar grounds now frozen
snowblind in a whitewashed winter's wrath

Daylight fades and seems to wane
shades of grey color the light
how majestic is this world
wrapped in blankets of frozen white

Aeons a great epic without heat
this cold supremacy shall reign
every molocule slows to stop
every joint creeks with pain

All life dwells deep and dormant
the branches of summer are lain bare
a crystalline playground of wonder
daydreams in a snowglobe kingdom's glare.
