Satan's Chariot
S leek and black
the chariot of the night
jumps into the frey,
joins the fight

Tires lit ablaze
400 bridles bright
ancestral enginuity
aged steel and might

Deep in it's throaty chamber
burning spirits fuel it's roar
like an army at full charge
or the pounding hammer of Thor

Perched well upon the saddle
gripping the wheel of yore
make ready your command of the throttle
and let slip the dogs of war

Synopsis
I wanted to do a tribute to the American Muscle-Car. Not the typical subject of a poem, which is precisely why I chose it.
