False Happiness

Can you tell me why

the selfish and shallow

are so obsessed and driven,

thinking objects and money

can finance true happiness,

and love can be bought and given?

And so they all hurry,

and scurry about,

what an urgent and empty life.

Their address and automobiles,

so cherished and so loved.

Here I am,

hugging my son.

Confused by the measurements

please tell me someone,

just how do you measure

the true value of your life,

and those whom you treasure?

I agree with your friends here, they all said what I might have said and they said it better than I would have. Great work, and I am sure there are plenty of people that feel as you do when holding our children. Hoping for their future and what's best for them, hoping we taught them the right values and all. I bet your doing a great job.

Great thoughts here. A lesson we here in our crazy, hectic societies need to heed. Kewl and Wan speak the total truth.

thoughtful poem you have here. Nice question. Materials is not important its the true love and true happiness is the most important. you cannot buy true love and true happiness.
