Peanut Butter Kiss
She comes up to me,
Gets right in my face,
And says, "Daddy,"
Followed by gibberish.

She makes me smile,
She smiles back,
Peanut butter and jelly on her lips,
She wants a kiss!!!

So I kiss her,
And then I hug her,
And then I love her,
She squirms and then screams,

Because she can't be held down
No restraints allowed,
I am on her time table,
Or so she thinks.

The Christmas Tree just went up,
Her eyes just lit up,
Her smile just blew up,
She points her finger up.

She begins to circle the tree,
Pointing she says something,
I laugh and pretend I understood,
She's concerned with the cat.

Walking up she hugs my leg,
She looks into my eyes,
We connect,
"I love you daddy."

This is just how it is, isn't it? Messy little kids, Christmas, cats and Daddies. A delightful picture to read.

Very touching. I love kids and I love their peanut butter kisses and their gibberish. ^_^ Very captivating and I like everything about it honestly.

I love this! :) I have a little boy but I can relate. Squirms and screams because she can't be held down...how true lol I could see this as I read it. Very nice!
