Dependent Vampire
Grasping at another straw,
One more time I stab at you,
With piercing words to feast upon,
Manipulate, manipulate.

Sharpened tongue to find your vein,
And drain you of all hope.
Depression my greatest gain,
Your misery, my energy.

As darkness spreads across your face,
I feel it's time to feed,
So insecure, I love it all,
Vulnerable, so vulnerable.

Willingly you lend your ear,
My venom starts to spew,
My victim for another night,
Another meal to feast upon.

I love how you trust me so,
Volunteer your wrists for chains,
I wrap them so gleefully,
Guaranteeing your dependency.

Good poem... I appreciate the symbolism; intelligently written.

I wrote a piece years ago that I entitled psychic vampires...it fits this poem so well. Nicely done.

Synopsis
Have you ever met someone you felt enjoyed to antagonize you? Well, I have, and so I wrote this bit about people who enjoy to feast on other's pain.
