A Darkened Corner
Where to walk and where to rest,
I find it where it works the best,
Gripping at my mind and chest,
Offering me a little rest.

My mind has opened to this room,
Darkened corners, so much gloom,
The light has left and I face doom,
Or so it seemed from this scant view.

Where to walk I choose my path,
I walk a little and then backtrack,
Will I find safety in what I lack?
I'm crumbling beneath this pack.

A darkened corner knows what's right,
I know what's true beneath this light,
Scar after scar has weakened my plight,
I suck in deep so I can fight.

Do I still please you in my quest?
Or am I damned to face arrest?
My all has has lost and now is less,
Wrap around me in this test.

My dear friend...you are such a deep thinking, spiritual human being...and it's a privilege to know you. Just reading this, I feel your pain, your confusion, your searching...your striving always to be a better person. I've been absent lately because of a few unhappy circumstances of my own and I'm sorry for that. I'm sending you a personal message in a just a minute. Keep it up...you're one of my heroes.
